This 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is #1,318 of approximately 3,300 examples built for the model year, and it was ordered and purchased new by the seller after they attended the Demon 170 unveiling at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Finished in B5 Blue over Demonic Red Laguna leather, the car rides on optional Lacks Enterprises 18″ front and 17″ rear carbon-fiber wheels. Other equipment includes the Premium Group, Air-Catcher HID headlights, an Air-Grabber hood, flared quarter panels, Brembo brakes, a Harman Kardon sound system, and heated and ventilated front seats. Power is provided by a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi High-Output V8 producing up to 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels via a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. This SRT Demon 170 has 40 miles and is now offered by the original owner with a Demon decanter set, a window sticker, build documents, accessories, a car cover, and a Florida title in the seller’s name.

Dodge released seven different Last Call special editions for the 2023 model year to celebrate the end of production of the Charger and Challenger, and the Demon 170 was the final special edition variant. This example is finished in B5 Blue (PQD) and features an Air-Grabber hood with “Alcohol Injected” lettering on the hood-scoop bezel. Other exterior details include a front splitter that has retained its yellow scuff guards along with Air-Catcher HID headlights, flared rear quarter panels, and an SRT Performance rear spoiler with an integrated rearview camera.

Lacks Enterprises 18″ front and 17″ rear carbon-fiber wheels were an $11,495 option and are mounted with Mickey Thompson tires. Stopping power is provided by black four-piston Brembo calipers with yellow SRT lettering over ventilated discs. The Demon 170 is equipped with an edition-specific Drag Mode suspension with adaptive-damping shocks as well as launch control, a line lock, and a revised transbrake.

Demonic Red Laguna leather upholsters the heated and ventilated front seats and the rear bench. Carbon-fiber trim accents the dashboard and center console, and the optional Premium Group adds a suede headliner, a premium-stitched dash panel, and an 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with a trunk-mounted subwoofer. Other features include Demonic Red seatbelts, remote start, dual-zone climate control, and UConnect with navigation, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Demon 170 models left the factory with a reduced amount of sound-deadening materials compared to the standard Challenger.

A plaque below the passenger air vent identifies this Demon 170 as #1,318.

Shift paddles are affixed to the rear of the Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, which frames a red 220-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a 7″ configurable digital display. The digital odometer indicates 40 miles.

The 6.2-liter Hemi High-Output V8 is equipped with a 3.0-liter supercharger with a 3.02″ pulley and a 105mm throttle body in addition to revised fueling system components, Nitride-coated intake valves, copper-lead bearings, and upgraded cylinder head studs when compared to the previous Demon model. The horsepower rating adjusts automatically based on the ethanol percentage in the fuel, and output ranges from 900 horsepower and 810 lb-ft of torque with conventional E10 fuel to 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque when using E85. The engine is also equipped with an SRT Power Chiller, which utilizes the air conditioning refrigerant to cool the air entering the intake ports.

A “Last Call” plaque is affixed under the hood near the driver-side headlight.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and a 3.09:1 limited-slip differential with a strengthened housing and a 240mm ring gear. The Demon 170 also features an improved rear prop shaft and 43-spline rear half shafts.
